Job Information & Purpose:
Reports to: Director, Finance
Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of monthly management reports, variance analysis, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and provide the leadership with accurate management accounting information to support their decision making process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures as well as any initiatives aimed at finance function optimization.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial projections
Supervise all financial planning and budget control activities for Alwaseeta - Analyze information to make it useful for evaluating business decisions.
Oversee the preparation of monthly management reports, commentaries on financial statements etc.
Participate in the formulation of business plans for the finance function.
Manage all activities in budgeting to ensure efficient and effective management accounting department
Proactively follow changes in laws and best accounting practices as well as makes sure they are accounted for.
Supervise and review work done by team members inside the department.
Supervise the preparation and drafting of Alwaseeta budget.
Assist the management to make the right decisions while providing necessary relevant information and financial / cost analysis as required.
Review the recommendations on budget and variances, suggest appropriate measures and present to management
Coordinate communication between various departments for budget demands and forecasts
Review and budget transfers and fund reservations in the system as and when required
Ensure integrity of data is maintained so that financial and reporting information is timely and accurate.
Liaise with and provide appropriate advice to staff from all directorates in Alwaseeta or subsidiaries on the relevant issues.
Ensure an accurate and complete implementation of all details relevant tasks and activities mentioned in the manuals regarding the position as per the approved policies and procedures.
Continually review processes within the department, develop and report on recommendations for business process improvements and efficiency within the department.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Alwaseeta’s policies & procedures at all times.
Ensure smooth implementation of approved procedures/systems development initiatives to maintain and increase efficient operations.
