Health Field Officer- First Aid - The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)

Standard function description:



• Assists the implementation and follow-up of the health department’s activities.

• Support the First Aid health delegate in the day to day management of activities related to the First Aid project.

• Maintains contacts with internal and external interlocutors as requested by the Health team.

• Assists with written reports on all activities undertaken.

• Responsible for the production of requisition orders and their follow-up.

• Responsible for taking and the writing minutes of meetings.



JOB DESCRIPTION



• Assists the Health department with the implementation of ICRC health activities in Jordan.

• Relationship building with first aid interlocutors.

• Maintains contacts and arranges meetings for the health department (when required).

• Accompanies the first aid delegate (when required, ) during the first aid trainings and meetings.

• When requested, provide internal and external first aid training in coordination with the health delegate [following the completion of ICRC first aid training].

• Undertake quarterly checks of the office first aid kits to ensure it is compliant with the checklist.

• Records and writes up minutes of meetings.

• Acts as a translator when required.

• When required, represents the first aid project in external and internal meetings.

• Produces and follows-up requisition orders.

• Monitors and reports on first aid related issues relevant to the activities of the project.

• Gathers and compiles health statistics for the ICRC delegation in Jordan.

• Accompanies the members of the health department on field trips and when required carry field trip on the behalf of the health department.

• Contributes to department /project/program reporting and administration

• Undertakes any other task related to the health department/ delegation objectives, upon the request of the health department
