Head of Bakery Division - Manpower Middle East

Our client, a progressive group company is now hiring for a Head of Division - Bakery. This position reports to the Group General Manager.



Job Purpose



• To manage the entire operations of the bakery division as per the business plan.

• To lead the production, distribution and business development of the SBU’s by appropriate infrastructure and people management.



Key Accountabilities



• Responsible for the financial and operational performance of the Bakery Division through the development and execution of long and short term strategies/plans to maximize company profitability and growth.

• Manage and achieve company annual operating and financial budget.

• Establish overall business plans and provide regular reports on performance, sales and financial budget analysis to management.

• Responsible for category P&Ls and required gap closing plans to achieve portfolio volume/revenue targets.

• P&L analysis to escalate trends to leverage opportunity and manage risk.

• Develop and execute category pricing strategy and provide customer pricing recommendations to maintain strategy.

• Management of production team to maximize productivity with quality products in time for the Bakery division.

• To achieve monthly target volumes.

• To meet SKU wise daily production plans.

• To optimize abnormal wastage to zero.

• Engage value stream mapping.

• Control and monitor the health and safety throughout faculty.

• Ensuring cost efficient production.

• Team management and ability to motivate the team.

• Maintain and improve established quality and service standards.

• Develop and implement labour, maintenance, inventory supplies, cost of goods sold and performance measurement systems, to ensure compliance with overall company goals and objectives.

• Address issues on sales development, production and inventory, accounting, information technology and human resources, and co-ordinate with Group support functions to maximize synergy of resources.

• Ensure vendors / business partnerships supply products and services in accordance with company standards at competitive pricing.

• Set company policies and procedures to ensure legislative compliance, effective and systematic work flow.

• Impart company values and work attitudes to inculcate a cohesive work environment (teamwork, positive and proactive work attitude, view issues as challenges and not problems).

• Provide direction on management succession to ensure continuity of business functions and support for future growth.

• Lead, motivate and develop subordinates for personal growth.

• Direct human resource activities (eg rewards and recognition, social and recreational, performance system) to maintain a motivated workforce.
