HR Manager (Algeria) (based in Hassi Messaoud) - National Oilwell

Job Purpose:



a) Responds to personnel inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.

b) Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

c) Ensure that HR policies and procedures are implemented

d) Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

e) Supervising all pre-employment administration

f) Create and maintain all employee personnel files, HCM and Kronos

g) Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and corrective actions.

h) Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

i) Perform other work related task as required as assigned.

j) Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies

e) Labor Law Knowledge, especially relating to the Hassi Messaoud region



Qualifications:



a) University Degree in Business or HR / Equivalent

b) 8 years generalist HR experience (minimum)

Skills & Competencies

a) Knowledge and understanding of the principles & practices of Labor Law (especially in South Algeria) and all aspects of HR

b) Above average working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & outlook)

c) Easily adapt to change and enjoy learning new things

d) Must be target & detail-oriented and have an analytical mindset

e) Managing all HR processes and functions

f) Implementing HR policies and procedures

g) Efficient working with HR shared service team in Dubai

h) Highly accurate, productive worker

i) Demonstrate excellent problem-solving & time management skills

j) Superior interpersonal skills, and managerial skills

k) Effective communicator (oral and written)

l) Self-starter, self-motivated, and conscientious

m) Integrity and assure that confidential information is kept confidential

Additional requirements:



a) Ensure Industrial Relations are managed in line with company strategy.

b) Extensive experience in project development, managing significant local and expat recruitment campaigns, workforce planning and training and development requirements.

c) Ensure resourcing (expat and local) and on-boarding is conducted in line with workforce plan requirements.

d) Develop and implement training and development strategy including ensuring effective training plans are in place so that local hires have the appropriate skills and experiences.

e) Highly familiar with computers and the use of Microsoft Word and excel for reports and spreadsheets, and a demonstrable ability to produce a high standard of reports to international standards.

f) Results focused and accomplished HR professional, with a very strong experience in proven operational and strategic HR Management in Oil Companies in Algeria.

g) Multilingual, fluency in English, French and Arabic.

h) Human Resources based results, development and implementation of HR Best practices, to provide leadership, direction and expertise for the full areas of HR functions by:

• full compliance to regulation, Company’s strategy and policy;

• demonstrating efficient communication and labour relations;

• acting as HR Business partner, delivering efficient and effective daily HR operations;

• maintaining strong metrics, providing analytics and advice.
