Our client, leading multinational logistics company is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Regional Operations Analyst
JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Supports the Regional VP in consistently achieving the required business performance/goals (Customer, Operational, Financial, Revenue etc) by providing robust information, analysis & tools to support business planning, decision making & problem resolution.
Includes maintaining/enhancing the Regional Compass, performing analysis of diverse internal & external factors, & the collation, manipulation & dissemination of required information to cross-functional Senior/Executive management.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Ensures the Regional Compass & CXM scorecards meets the evolving needs of the VP & his Team by developing, recommending & implementing specific enhancements that support the tracking & reporting of multiple aspects of Regional specific & divisional performance (operational, financial, sales etc).
• Performs timely & accurate updates to the information in the Regional Compass & CXM scorecard, by obtaining, collating & manipulating information from multiple functions & systems. Researches & verifies potential anomalies prior to updating the scorecard. Develops & provides reports in agreed formats to the relevant audience & supports these with appropriate analysis & recommendations, as appropriate.
• Supports the VP in maintaining progress with multiple initiatives/projects by co-ordinating the actions/information needed from Operations & other functions. Monitors progress of deliverables & initiates timely follow-up to ensure required timelines are met. Provides clear, accurate & concise summaries of progress & actions outstanding for the VP.
• Develops & prepares accurate & appropriate presentations for the VP to deliver both within the Company & to key external audiences (eg Governmental Organisations, major Customers, Industry Groups etc). Tailors the presentations to focus on the specific objectives & structures in the most effective way to aid understanding & maintain interest. Supports these presentations with an appropriate level of backup information to justify the key points & to cover questions that may be raised. As needed supports the VP with the delivery of presentations by providing explanations of information/trends/results.
• Develops & implements effective & secure information management systems & processes to support the collation, tracking, analysis & reporting of diverse business projects/performance areas. Maintains & uses these as a basis for accurate & timely analysis & reporting. Includes developing and maintaining various reports (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) to summarise operational, service & financial results.
• Ongoing, supports the VP in keeping abreast of internal & external factors that impact/potentially impact the business (business trends, Customer or Competitor related etc). Includes performing research of assigned subjects & presenting results & specific recommendations with relevant supporting documentation.
• Develops & maintains an effective network of contacts across multiple functions within the region & other regions, who can support the timely provision of required information or implementation of required actions. Aligns with these contacts to optimise progress/results.
• Develops & maintains an appropriate level of knowledge of the Company's business (strategies, structure, operations, systems etc) & of external factors (competitor, customer, economic etc), together with developments to technologies/software that can improve analytical/reporting capabilities. Uses the knowledge to provide effective business focused support.
• Performs all related support functions including supporting regional/divisional projects as & when required.
