Barman - Salam International

Operational

1. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.

2. Assist in implementing and maintaining a HACCP Manual clearly stating department specific policies, procedures and training requirements.

3. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Workplace Safety and insurance legislation.

4. Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from clients

5. Order or requisition supplies.

6. Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.

7. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.

8. Plan, organize, and control the operations of a mocktail bar.

9. Supervise the work of bar staff and other bartenders.

10. Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guests’ experience

11. Prepare and serve non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes.

12. Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.

13. Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).

14. Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks for bar patrons.

15. Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.

16. Clear and reset tables in bar area.

17. Present drink menus, make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.

18. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.

19. Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.

20. Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar supervisor.

21. Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.

22. Balance cash receipts.

23. Comply with all Health & Safety and Workplace Safety and insurance legislation.

24. Ensure that guest needs are met by providing an efficient and professional service.

25. Promote the identity of the business unit by building rapport and a sense of personalized service towards guests.

26. Participate in regular meetings and briefings as may be scheduled.

27. Understand and abide by all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulations.

28. Inform Management of any repair work as soon as identified.

29. Convey to Management any guest needs or requests with regards to food and other supplies.

Marketing & Development

1. Be continually aware of all business unit services and activities to be able to promote the various offerings.

2. Constantly strives to develop and increase sales in order to increase profitability.

3. Provide Management with creative ideas to project and enhance the business unit’s image, increase level of service, guest convenience, or methods to increase revenue.

Financial & Legal

1. Ensure all transactions are according to company's financial and legal policies and code of ethics.

Human Resources

1. Participate in any scheduled training and development programs that may improve personal or departmental standards.

2. Ensure that relationships with colleagues are in harmony, maximizing team spirit and cooperation to the good of the business unit.

3. Report for duty punctually, maintaining a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene, wearing correct uniform and nametag at all times

Administration

1. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.

2. Respond to any changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the industry, company or business unit.

3. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
