Sales Assistance - Salam International

Operational

1. Deliver exemplary customer service at all times

2. Ensuring that customer service always takes priority over any other task

3. Ensure customers are given a warm welcome to the store at all times

4. Ensure customers a given a fond farewell when leaving the store

5. Ensure that customers are approached and their needs established

6. Demonstrate excellent product knowledge and desire to serve customers

7. Utilising up-selling techniques, suggest suitable products to customers, recommending complimentary products

8. Ensure that customers are treated with curtsey at all times and that they leave the store happy

9. Create a memorable shopping experience for all customers; to gain customer loyalty.

10. Ensure all merchandising procedures are adhered to; and product placement is impeccable and correct at all times.

11. Ensure correct stock rotation on the shelves, adequate stock on shelves and correct/clean signage is displayed

12. Communicate all product/stock related concerns which might occur to superiors immediately

13. Complete all trainings provided by the HO and Store Management

14. Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

15. Ensure awareness and vigilance at all times of security within the store

16. Alert superiors immediately if suspicious customer behaviour is observed

17. Ensure all till cashing up and administration processes are followed and company policies are adhered to

18. Ensure excellent personal presentation in line with company/staff uniform policy

19. Presenting a flexible/positive attitude towards the accumulating of new skills and completion of challenging tasks

Marketing & Development

1. Be continually aware of all business unit services and activities to be able to promote the various offerings.

2. Constantly strives to develop and increase sales in order to increase profitability.

3. Provide Management with creative ideas to project and enhance the business unit’s image, increase level of service, guest convenience, or methods to increase revenue.

Financial & Legal

1. Ensure all transactions are according to company's financial and legal policies and code of ethics.



Human Resources

1. Participate in any scheduled training and development programs that may improve personal or departmental standards.

2. Ensure that relationships with colleagues are in harmony, maximizing team spirit and cooperation to the good of the business unit.

3. Report for duty punctually, maintaining a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene, wearing correct uniform and nametag at all times.

Administration

1. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.

2. Respond to any changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the industry, company or business unit.

3. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
