Visual Merchandiser - Salam International

Operational

1. Ensure all opportunities are maximised through effective use of Visual merchandising methods

2. Ensure that customer service/sales take priority over tasks

3. Exhibit and promote high standards of Visual Merchandising

4. Ensure effective merchandising layout is implemented in relation to sales target and store objectives

5. Follow the Merchandising Strategy of the concept

6. Monitor sales in relation to how this affects Visual Merchandising standards

7. Work with the management team in determining specific Visual Merchandising needs, give feedback and make suggestions

8. Provide timely and complete follow through on all areas of merchandising

9. Ensure Visual Merchandising expectations and priorities are followed up on and shared with the team (concept level)

10. Creation of all window/in store displays

11. Printing and placing of all product labels within the store

12. Arranging special product displays and events

13. Ordering (via Store Manager) of display and accessory materials

14. Responsible for the cleanliness of product placements on the shop floor

15. In coordination with the Store Manager/Head Chef and Buying department; arrange product tastings and the launches of new products

16. Creation of displays according to the annual calendar of events

17. Ensuring that the floor plan (product displays) is constantly adhered to

18. Develop new ideas for displays in all departments

19. Continuous product spot checks

20. Ensure that the Visual Merchandising manual is up to date (product & display pictures)

21. Responsible for the cleanliness of all in/outdoor signage

Marketing & Development

1. Be continually aware of all business unit services and activities to be able to promote the various offerings.

2. Constantly strives to develop and increase sales in order to increase profitability.

3. Provide Management with creative ideas to project and enhance the business unit’s image, increase level of service, guest convenience, or methods to increase revenue.

4. Participate in Public Relations activities such as promotional activities designed at enhancing the image and profitability of the business unit.

5. Participate in the development of annual promotional activities based on guest feedback and market potential.

6. Play a key role to increase the relevance of our product offering.

Financial & Legal

1. Ensure all transactions are according to company's financial and legal policies and code of ethics.

2. Assist in ensuring that business unit costs are strictly controlled as per Financial Budget.

3. Ensure that adequate records are kept in order to offer statistical analysis.

Human Resources

1. Participate in any scheduled training and development programs that may improve personal or departmental standards.

2. Ensure that relationships with colleagues are in harmony, maximizing team spirit and cooperation to the good of the business unit.

3. Report for duty punctually, maintaining a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene, wearing correct uniform and nametag at all times.

Administration

1. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.

2. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

3. Ensure that any daily documentation are completed and filed accurately and punctually.
