On a day-to-day basis the Community Liaison Officer oversees and assists a variety of community mobilizing and monitoring functions required to identify beneficiaries according to vulnerability criteria and to ensuring that the services provided to the beneficiaries are done according with the programme objectives and standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Share appropriate information with potential/confirmed beneficiaries and the host community about the cash assistance program and be available to answer to related questions and concerns.
2. Oversee the work of outreach workers and conducting as well home visits to households potentially eligible and conduct home visits to households that have been served to evaluate the impact of the assistance and the beneficiary satisfaction.
3. Liaise with landlords and CBOs as requested by the programme.
4. Facilitate the link between beneficiaries and Medair, providing information and feedback between beneficiaries and the MEDAIR team as appropriate.
5. Manage community expectations following the scope of the programme (to not make any commitments on behalf of Medair or the UN or other humanitarian agencies).
6. Might be asked to attend the deliver payments or NFI distributions to offer support to project administrator and project manager.
7. Maintain open and frequent communication, where applicable, with all functional links for this position.
8. Be flexible, willing to assist in other areas of work as relevant and needed for this role.
9. Summarize outreach reports indicating daily activities and reached targets ( i.e. number of home visits and filled files).
