located in Saudi Arabia ( Al Khobar first 6-8 months .Location will be Jubail before Sadara start up )
The Saudi Supply Chain Operations/OTC Leader will ultimately be responsible for the OTC activities in the region managing the exports of products from Saudi Arabia and leading the Supply Chain network team in the Kingdom. The initial focus for this person over coming 12 months will be to manage the implementation of the Dow Saudi Arabia processes and organization and the critical interface with the Sadara Site Logistics and Planning organization to support the PMLA supply network and to build the team that will perform these activities. This will be a critical and challenging role due to the scale and complexity of the Sadara supply chain network; the new organization, processes and systems to be implemented in the KSA, and the importance of connection with the hubs and the Dow receiving Regions both for the Marine Packed Cargo and Bulk Shipments.
The incumbent will report to the Saudi Arabia PMLA Supply chain & Business Services senior director being functionally aligned to the EMEA Supply Chain Operations Director, participating as key member of the EMEA SCO Leadership Team and will have frequent interaction with the Sadara senior leadership and with Dow Geo/Business leaders being served out of the shipments coming from SADARA.. Key responsibilities include:
Implement and Lead the IK Supply Chain/OTC team of transportation, international trade, warehouse, terminal operations experts, Corrective Action Management Process between Dow/Sadara, ensuring this team has the capability and to work closely with the Sadara interface team to meet the PMLA lifting requirements ex Saudi Arabia.
Work with the Global OTC, including the ITO sub track and the Design & Modify taking the lead with local service providers to ensure the required capabilities will be in place on time for start up to meet the Hubs and the Receiving Geo needs.
Ensure EHS best practices and processes are in place for regional storage and transportation, integrate into regional Crisis Management and Emergency Response plans
Understand the requirements of the Dow business units and the SADARA needs and translate into implementation plans or into opportunities of services that can be offered to Sadara.
Partner with Logistics Procurement in the selection and ongoing management of regional logistics service providers
Regularly review performance of logistics service providers to ensure the required EHS, quality and service standards are being met
Understand regional logistics provider capabilities, including Saudi ports constraints,port enhancements being planned, and market trends and provide input to regional Business Supply Chain Leadership and Global Modal Leadership
Collaborate with Business Supply Chain, Customer Service and other functions to provide an effective and efficient Order-to-Cash management process to our clients and customers
Participate on the EMEA Supply Chain Operations Leadership Team
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a field that requires quantitative skills and analytical thinking, preferably in engineering, science or business. MBA or graduate work is desirable, but not required
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in multiple functions, including at least 3 years of demonstrated leadership attributes in supply chain roles
Six Sigma, APICS or other professional certifications are a plus
Fluent in Arab and English . Preferable a Saudi national candidate or an Arab with Iqama and with all government residential formalities fulfilled to live in Saudi.
