• Plan and lead coherent, knowledgeable, and consistent outreach sessions in coordination with NRC youth staff to inform Syrian refugees about NRC Youth program.
• Serve as a link between NRC youth program and the local community. E.G. designing information boards, developing innovative ways of connecting NRC youth centre with the community.
• Explore community involvement structures that could increase community participation in the youth centre.
• Regular communication with parents of youth to ensure their participation in and awareness of the youth programme.
• Conduct regular meetings with NRC youth to better understand their perspectives and ideas.
• Coordinate with the NRC Monitoring and Evaluation team to develop an feedback mechanism for youth in the programme.
• Serve as a link between youth actors in Zaatari and the NRC youth programme, ensuring NRC staff are kept abreast of developments in the youth sector and youth are aware of youth initiatives in the camp.
• Attend weekly youth committee meetings.
• Participate in weekly youth task force meetings.
• Explore mechanisms of youth participation in the camp across all platforms.
• Explore mechanisms of capturing youth ideas, empowering youth and including them in relevant platforms.
• Submit written weekly reports to youth coordinator
• Develop schedules for community outreach activities, based on outreach strategy.
• Participate in weekly youth team meetings and provide input
• Explore global youth initiatives and web-based youth platforms to determine potential connections with the NRC youth programme.
• Daily observation and documentation of school safety and case management.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with all NRC members of staff, and contacts within and outside NRC.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
