Head of HR

Job Purpose:

Savage Saudi Arabia, an established materials management company, is seeking a Head of Human Resources who will be a key member of the management team at an operation inside an oil refinery in Saudi Arabia. Within the refinery, we will be involved in the production and handling of solid materials, potentially including petroleum coke and sulphur. We will be responsible for operations and maintenance activities related to petcoke and sulphur handling. Activities include: Crane operations, coke cutting, tank storage for sulphur, conveyors systems, sulphur pipelines, barn storage for both coke and sulphur, sulphur forming (from molten liquid to solid) and ship loading.



Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to the following:

• Manage personnel issues within the Solids Handling System

• Manage relationships and contracts and maintain an excellent relationship with the customer and community.

• Develop and implement business plans and budgets, including annual budget.

• Hire and train new and current staff.

• Develop processes to implement continuous improvement agenda.

Skills/Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will possess several of the following skills/qualities:

• Knowledgeable of local government employment laws

• Will organized and proactive with excellent communication skills

• Proven leadership skills with large organizations

• Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems

• Strategic thinking, open to new ideas

• An ability to achieve business results working in a multi-cultural environment

• Experience in the following areas: human resources management, organizational development/change management, process improvement, compensation and staffing

• Strong management and leadership skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English. English level equal or higher than C1 according to CEFR





Industry Background:

Ideal candidate will have experience in two or more of the following areas:

• Human resources experience

• Refinery, Chemical, In Plant Handling



Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years management experience or equivalent



General Experience/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

• Willing to be very hands on and fill in for others
