KEY position which requires a solid background in the following fields:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Project Management skill
• Rubber manufacturing process or any manufacturing process
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and Manage the following AREAS:
o Industrial tire, construction tire and wheel strategic projects
• Lead the following MEETINGS:
o Monthly Strategic project council
o Weekly Team meeting with Project mangers
o Team meeting with external resource team
• Lead the following ACTIVITIES/PROJECTS:
o Accountable to manage complete life cycle of the strategic project
o Accountable to deliver each project according to target date
o Accountable to deliver each project according to the level of quality expected
o Responsible to monitor spends and meet the authorized budget for each project
o Manage third party and/or internal teams to deliverable clearly defined and agreed project deliverables
o Provide necessary level of leadership in terms of planning, communication and control activities within those teams
o Accountable to manage all risk and issues and escalate where they cannot be contained within the particular project providing appropriate options and mitigations
o Accountable to empower and motivate his workforce by coaching and task delegation.
PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or the equivalent
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Managing projects with budget in excess $100k
• Excellent knowledge of project planning and budgeting
• Solid experience in project management
• Fluent in English ( Both oral and written)
• Ability to travel internationally
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to summarize and present the information
• Facility to communicate to different audiences and cultures ( Sri Lanka, USA, Canada, Europe)
• At ease to empower & motivate his workforce and know how to delegate with control
• Excellent leadership Skills
