Job Description
Manage Performance of all the reefers EMR activities. Conduct planned and surprise audits of locations to understand their true performance. Meet technicians to understand ground problems and work jointly to solve the same. Review & follow up on performance measures for EMR technicians’ deliverables. Comply with the audit requirements set by the organization. Manage repairs for empty and full units to ensure zero revenue leakage. Handle & safe guard companies’ interest in case of potential cargo claim. Regularly meet cross functions to understand customers concerns pertaining to equipment and strive to solve them. Arrange for joint surveys as and when needed.
Other assigned duties:
1. Repairs reefer container machines.
2. STS Expertise.
3. Estimate repair costs and update systems.
4. Process Daily MERC+, DS4, Carrier, Thermoking, Daikin and Starcool estimates and complete repair approval.
5. Communicate with customers and ensure meeting service excellence and meet dealines.
6. Studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine maintenance and repair procedures.
7. Ensure that repairs of equipments are done according to manufacturer's specifications.
8. Analyze and trouble shoots and report malfunctions.
9. Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
10. Instructs and directs technicians in servicing and repairing equipment.
11. Consults with manufacturer service engineers to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
12. Ensure that repair standards are maintained and that repairs are carried out in accordance with industry standards and best practice.
13. Ensure safety rules are maintained and not breached in any location.
14. Ensure tooling and manning sufficient and well maintained, utilized and properly stored.
15. May instruct technicians in electronic and refrigeration theory.
16. May supervise workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
17. May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements
Key Performance Indicators:
Hard: - Cost Reduction, Revenue gain, Scores in Customer satisfaction surveys.
Soft: Establishing good relations with Yards, Depots, internal and external customers. Good team player, Operational mind set, Networking & negotiation skills.
