Senior Enterprise Architect - United Arab Shipping Company

The EA team will be headed by a Senior Enterprise Architect who will define the technology strategy, architecture and IT related process improvements and development of technical blueprints to guide the Architecture Refresh Project. This includes implementation of best practices; assessment of new technologies; implementation of POCs; and capacity planning. Trust ERP Architecture Refresh Programme

- Lead the EA programme of work, and build effective capabilities to advance the organisation’s architectural maturity.

- Assume responsibility for solution architecture quality, and provide necessary architectural inputs to support effective IT project delivery.

- Initiate and deliver architectural programs that align IT with business strategy.

- Deliver requisite program documentation including program charters, schedules, requirements documents, specifications, design documents and testing strategies.

- Design and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated solution.

- Having obtained the Trust ERP source code with unbridled rights as regards its further development and modifications for the needs of UASC, the Senior Enterprise Architect will through his team develop and implement appropriate strategies which will enable UASC to reduce its dependence on the current ERP provider with aim to reduce Total Cost of Ownership and eliminate future dependencies on specific IT vendors. Development of UASC Target Architecture

- The Senior Enterprise Architect will direct and guide the creation of the future UASC target architecture and standards and identify subsequent packages of work to enable UASC to achieve its desired outcomes through enabling technologies.

- The senior enterprise architect will provide advice and guidance to solution architects and others involved in the Architecture Refresh programs of work. - The Senior Enterprtise Architect will through the EA develop, implement, and maintain the UASC enterprise architecture which satisfies stakeholder concerns and supports the IT strategy.

- Analyse the existing IT environment and Trust ERP application architecture to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement.Enterprise Architecture Governance

- Establish and lead a governance body to direct and control the organisation’s architectural building blocks and their future development.

- Ensure compliance throughout UASC with the Architecture Reference Framework and governance model.

- Develop, communicate and deploy Enterprise Architecture Governance processes. Act as the focal point for enterprise architecture and IT standards.

- Develop and communicate enterprise technology standards and policies.IT Vendor management

- Develop prescriptive architectural guidelines and architectural standards which will enable UASC to deploy multiple software development teams working in parallel towards the agreed UASC Target Architecture. Architecture Processes & Tools- Ensure standardised methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all enterprise and solution architectural activities, providing service quality and delivery to the organisation

- Identify suitable solution(s) which will be able to ensure that a common framework and tool set is deployed to support the software development lifecycle SDLC from 1. requirements definition, 2. process mapping and definition, 3. Use case development, and through to 4 SSRS documentation for SW development vendors.

- Develop, communicate and deploy Enterprise Architecture processes.

- Deploy and maintain an Enterprise Architecture repository and tool set.

- Perform annual architectural maturity assessments.Data Architecture

- Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise data and metadata structures.

- Create a plan to integrate business systems and workflows in support of business strategy.

- Develop and enforce best practices for master data management and integration.
