Job Information & Purpose:
Reports to: Assistant Manager, Project Support
Responsible to provide cost control support and guidance to the Project Management Team by tracking and forecasting costs (direct and indirect) to ensure conformity with project budget directives and financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Study and understand all relevant project documents relating to the cost management of allocated project(s).
Prepare the detailed cost budget (item wise / contract wise) at the start of the project and monitor the progress against actual
Update and maintain cost incurred till date against budgetary heads.
Informs / escalates variance against budget to the Assistant Manager (Project Support)
Prepares cost at completion estimates for the management
Prepares cash flow requirement / projection statement for the project
Prepares cost report and provide cost input for MIS to Planning
Provides cost implication for the project on account of change in scope / variance
Coordinates with various functions / department for cost related issues, claims etc.
Assisting Project Management in identifying and gaining approval of Estimates/ Change Requests.
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers/ contractors
Track and monitor personal performance against annually determined performance measures and project deliveries.
Ensure compliance with the performance management process and its linkages to learning and development, compensation, promotion, career development and succession planning.
