Our client, a prestigious asset management firm is looking for a Database Administrator to join their expanding team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate has to provide primary support activities for all database systems as well as offer user support and consultancy service to Application and Infrastructure Development projects (. assist with writing and tuning of SQL and PL/SQL code).
Responsibilities:
• Manage database backups and maintain security management as per ISIP and Security Incident Process.
• Install, configure, and test database and database related software patches, packages, and new releases.
• Plan, assist or deploy application database changes and upgrades in conjunction with Application Development teams.
• Coordinate and manage support through Systems DBA to deliver seamless service to the application support teams and end users.
• Perform Application tuning, configuration and administration to deliver optimal performance of applications as Applications DBA.
• Implement planned and emergency database changes according to defined Change Control procedures as well as participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
