Enterprise Architect

The Enterprise Architect (EA) is a leadership role that will be accountable for providing a bridge between business and IT. The EA ensures that IT is always responsive to the business needs, and the EA plays a key role in creating business abstractions to the IT user and abstract IT organization to the business user.

The EA will help make the right IT investments and helps to make systems that meet current needs and are amenable to change, thus creating an agile and evolving enterprise. The EA will partner with key roles in business and IT, to compose a coherent and clear view of the organization’s business architecture, information systems architecture and technology architecture. The EA will help to simplify complexity of the business world into more easily understood models and descriptions.

The EA is responsible for setting up best practices for architecture in line with its identified and articulated means (mission, strategies, tactics, directives) and ends (vision, goals, objectives). The EA will help to set up and maintain the IT strategy and to put in mechanisms to keep it aligned with any business change.
