Department Description: This role will form part of the Middle East HR team supporting the business across the region. The successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive HR support to their client groups by:
• Engaging and utilizing HR core platforms as needed to obtain consultative support and common tools, utlize systems and work to defined processes and polices.
• Performing operational activities in the area of selection, training, employee relations, compensation, benefits and systems.
• Partnering directly with employees, and managers to resolve HR issues and advise/administer internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities/Expectations: • Day to day HR support for Motorola Solutions employees in the Middle East region.
• Assisting the HR Manager with generalist HR matters, including reviewing and developing relevant Policies and Procedures and providing advice in relation to employee performance, conduct and absence management.
• Providing confidential ad hoc advice and assistance to employees
• Administration, co-ordination and support of MSI recruitment
• Managing and maintaining contracts, personnel files and other employee information
• Facilitating and developing as necessary the local induction programme for new employees
• Providing administrative support as required, including managing benefits tracking, employment verifications and audits
• Fulfillment of additional duties as required
Knowledge Skills: • Has at least 3 years generalist HR experience across many HR areas including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, organizational development, local labour laws, compensation and benefits and payroll.
• Experience of coaching others on HR policies and systems. Can suggest creative and unique improvements to HR policies, systems and the delivery model.
• Experience of supporting large locations or medium-sized business units with HR issues, regulations, and concerns.
• Can resolve relatively complex issues but knows when to refer employees, managers, and business leaders to others in the HR organization as appropriate, and escalates highly complex issues to appropriate subject matter experts.
Skills and Qualifications
• Degree in a relevant subject matter
• Good commercial awareness
• Enjoys working with people and great team player
• Organised and methodical approach to administration and able to develop plans and policies
• Able to work accurately, with good attention to detail
• Excellent IT Skills
• Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal . Arabic is desirable but not essential.
