Working within the Sales Department, the Sales Engineer will have a primary role in driving the business through securing profitable deals, and catering to the needs of the target segments to achieve the assigned quota. The primary objective of this position is to bring in business and secure strategic deals with clients to achieve quarterly and yearly revenue targets. Consequently, the position should aggressively seek opportunities to sell and cross-sell to target segments, present multiple solutions to prospect clients in order to reach the aforementioned objectives.
Primary Job Functions:
• Consulting with Clients: holding meetings with clients, discussing problems/concerns, presenting/proposing solutions (with assistance from Product Marketing and Design Engineering).
• Visit prospect clients/clients frequently to analyze client problems, understand their needs, and present our products and services that address those needs. The visit should allow SE to open up opportunities to sell and cross-sell, ensure steady stream of value creation, build stronger relationships with the client, and enable referrals and building a network of future prospects.
• Work actively on client projects, supporting them (even after sales) to develop a stronger client relationship.
• Provide regular feedback and intelligence information about the market to Product Marketing and Design Engineering, to develop product/pricing strategies/promotions/market counterattack moves.
• Work with Product Marketing and Design Engineering to develop solutions that closely match needs of the market.
• Regularly interacts with the customer to support Project Management & Implementation (PMI) during customer installation/support visits.
