Urban Designer - RAK Municipality

Key Responsibilities



• Managing the design process to develop a project that enhances and is compatible with its urban environment

• Working with design organizations, both internal and external, to deliver an approved project design

• Monitoring progress of design delivery, identify areas for improvement, and taking action to resolve outstanding issues

• Ensuring that critical dates are met on time, within agreed cost & to technical requirement

• Ensuring design risk assessments are carried out and that residual risk is transferred to the construction teams

• Working with construction teams to ensure buildability considerations are incorporated

• Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of project managers, engineers (transport & infrastructure) and designers

• Liaising with numerous stakeholders including clients, municipalities, government bodies and work teams

• Reviewing verification and acceptance of the design outputs (calculations, drawings, specifications, reports) prior to issue for construction

• Implementing practical, timely, cost effective solutions to enable all elements of the project are safely constructed
