Hostess - Restaurant - United Development Company

-Ensure proper collection of guest preferences, communicate to the team and guest relations department

-Strive to build food & beverage data base for the restaurant by collecting business card from all dinners

-Acknowledge guest all the time however busy or not and anticipate their needs.

-Be present at the restaurant/ outlet entrance and ensure proper grooming all times.

-Welcome guest with a smile, reconfirm reservation and seating, Escort guest to the table as required.

-Offer menus, advice guest on non available items, take orders and communicate any special request.

-Maintain complete knowledge of all products sold in the restaurant.

-Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

-Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures.

-Maintain knowledge of special items in each Special event.

-Ensure all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with accounting standards.

-Check and ensure that all sales counters/show case are full and in good condition according to Gourmet shop procedures.

-Complete opening side duties:

oMicros and manuals checks procedures

oVIPS in the restaurant

-Monitor and maintain cleanliness of area .

-Refill non-alcoholic beverages according to procedures.

-Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy, whatever time of day.

-Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

-Be familiar with Restaurant services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

-Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all service areas following procedures laid down in departmental manual.

-Complete closing duties as assigned:

oProperly store all reusable goods.

oRestock items for next service.

oTransport all dirty linen to Laundry.

oSecure all supplies at shift end.

-Leave duty after reporting to supervisor.

-Answer outlet phone within 3-rings, using correct verbiage as per telephone etiquette.

-Monitor guest’s comments/feedback - record and pass on to Restaurant Manager.

-Maintain reservations book and keep clean and organized at all times.

-Successful completion of the training/certification process.
