About This Job



Baker Hughes Incorporated (BHI) offers the opportunity as an experienced Mechanic to join the team in Iraq



Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities



Performs mechanical up-keep and repairs various equipment



Troubleshoots, diagnoses and makes necessary repairs



Assists mechanic in daily duties including mechanical repair of equipment, wash bay, cleaning parts and housekeeping



Maintains an organized, safe and clean work area

Essential Qualifications / Requirements



High School leaver with 2 years work experience in garage environment or maintaining plant equipment



Experience in performing semi-skilled, mechanical repairs on various equipment



Trade school training or equivalent work experience with a stable work history required

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements



Good mechanical aptitude essential



Must be able to read and interpret written and oral instructions to perform assigned duties and provide accurate paperwork



Must be able to work as part of a team



Good understanding of English



Must be able to work under pressure and within time constraints



Basic computer skills preferred but not essential
