Senior Logistics Specialist
The role is to provide the first line of support to the Network Head of operations Logistics Managing Director for various functions. This position is also responsible for logistics, procurement, planning, scheduling, resource management support and administration within the network operations.
Responsibilities
1. Provide support/administration in relation to employment, planning, performance Management.
2. Advise management of problems & recommend/implement action as required.
3. Supervise day to day work of administrative and support staff as required
4. Act as a point of contact for all matters relating to the department, Review daily schedules
5. Develop working relationships with Editorial, News deployment, HR, finance, IT to meet departmental needs
6. Assist with the implementation of key projects or initiatives for the department as required.
7. Identify where/when freelance cover is required.
8. Arrange contracts & associated logistics for the hire
9. Supply all information for contract approvals as per company policy.
10. Control, liaise, facilitate and manage the flow of information between operation/News/programmes
11. Organize training for new recruits and arrange additional training to increase skills of existing staff.
12. Assist in the creation and implementation of technical requirement details for news and programmes
13. General administration of studio operations
14. Provide reports on attendance and manpower resources plus overtime forecasts, overtime justifications and training.
