Our client, an international charity organisation is currently seeking to recruit a Corporate Fundraising Executive. You will be reporting directly to the Director General-Middle East
Job purpose
The Fundraising Executive will work with the General Manager to implement the Middle East fundraising strategy. The key focus of the role will be to raise funds from the corporate sector, Charitable Foundations and high net worth individuals.
Principal accountabilities:
Work with the General Manager, The Company- Middle East to implement a new prospective strategy and support new business approaches to increase income from corporations and High Net Worth Individuals in the region
1. Develop fundraising appeals, project proposals and reports, and provide support for events as appropriate. Promote Company’s work, including specific initiatives such as World Sight Day and other fundraising / marketing opportunities. Maintain supporter records.
2. Provide account management to a number of existing corporate & foundation supporters. Develop and implement a fundraising and engagement calendar of activity for supporters as appropriate.
3. Research and profile existing supporters, including ethical checks for corporate partners and prospects. Monitor charity trends, existing markets, economic climates, giving patterns and business developments (including corporate social responsibility) to inform the Middle East fundraising strategy.
4. Liaising regularly with colleagues in UK and Fundraising teams, International Programmes, Country and Regional offices, Programme Innovation and Supporter Services, to ensure an efficient and joined-up approach.
5. To provide any other support required by the General Manager or to the Fundraising Department as required to contribute towards Company’s organisational goals.

Knowledge (education and related experience):
• Educated to degree level or the equivalent
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Minimum of three years’ experience of fundraising, or account management experience in a marketing/PR environment liaising with senior individuals
• Fundraising/Marketing/PR qualification (desirable)
Skills (special training or competence):
• Computer literacy (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Access etc)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly numerate
• An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity for disabled people.
