CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure preparation of demand forecast for the Poultry division with continously improved accurcay level by considering various factors such as historical sales patterns, trends, seasonalities, past and future events in the form of sales and marketing plan, economical, weather history, government regulations and competitive activities with the assistance of PROCAST system (Forecasting software).
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. To ensure demand planners maintains the Procast system intact, data cleansed and upto-date.
All SKU’a are reconciled by weekly, by depot. All new SKU’s should be accurately setup and any changes in either product or geographic hierarchy are immediately reflected in the system.
2. To make sure the future and past events are accurately capatured in the PROCAST.
3. To ensure updation of rolling 18 month forecasts on weekly/monthy basis by week, by depot and by SKU
4. To conduct weekly/monthly meetings with each of the marketing, product group and brand managers to discuss both the historic forecast consumption and the rolling forecast, ensuring all marketing events activities and assumptions accurately built in the forecast for the respective product portfolio’s. . pricing strategies, new products, deletions, promotions, flavour extensions, media campaigns and changes in distribution strategies .
5. To submit and ensure regional/loacal level events are incorporated in the forecast through bottom-up forecasting.
6. To conduct monthly meetings with the Head of Sales & GSM to discuss and gain sign off for the rolling 18 month forecast.
7. To conduct weekly/monthly meetings with the stake holders of the planning teams with sales & marketing, supply chain, PPP Planning,and narrate and highlight the forecast expectations and exceptions vs previous forecast.
8. To attend the monthly, supply chain, planning coordination for volumes related issues.
9. To ensure that all new products are setup in SAP & SARAS in a timely manner allowing all planning processes associated with NPD to take place
10. Prepartion of volume and wastage budget for the sales and marketing divisions with the marketing and sales sales managers inputs.
