•Make technical assessments of building projects including single and multi-unit buildings, host family renovations or collective centres and other structures to be rehabilitated in line with NRC’s project criteria, in order to support the needs (from the technical aspect) for a shelter intervention for rehabilitation works and any other future shelter intervention
•Produce technical assessment as well as BOQs for all building projects, rehabilitations, and housing unit works selected for the project and ensure they are in compliance with the criteria of works for the project.
•Monitor accuracy of technical assessments against NRC project criteria including accuracy of measurements and BOQs. Assume responsibility by checking and signing all BOQs.
•Ensure and promote efficient and cost-effective use of NRC’s assets and resources in order to maximise funding to beneficiaries
•Coordinate daily with Planning Team Leader and other Planning Assistants, as well as Finance/Admin/Logistics in order to ensure efficient implementation of activities
•Provide technical assistance to other NRC staff working on project proposals as required
•Provide support and propose technical changes and designs according to the situation and issues encountered at project sites.
•Assist with the preparation of the contracts and agreements with property owners and landlords as required, including BOQs and Specifications and written agreements
•Carry-out any other duties as requested by Planning Team Leader as related to program planning and preparations for implementation
