We are a project management company with an immediate vacancy for a qualified Project Control Manager / Project Control Systems Manager/ with strong Quality Management experience and interests.
Initial duties will involve setting up a quality management system and implementing QA/QC procedures in line with international standards and best practices. In addition, the position will involve the setup and management of the project control systems. Particular emphasis is placed on the integration of project management functions with BIM (Building Information Modelling) throughout design and construction phases. This a challenging role which involves a wide range of tasks starting from setting key performance indicators (KPIs), process mapping of main functions, producing QA/QC procedures and working in collaboration with other project stakeholders to ensure quality and control.
Project Control Responsibilities:
Manage the Project Control Systems including planning/scheduling, monitoring, document controls systems, quality, and hardware/software requirements.
Prepare, review and enforce the Project Execution Plan
Prepare and review the Master Project Schedule and periodic schedule updates.
Attend meetings associated with construction progress, schedule and PCS related issues.
Preparation of monthly progress reports in coordination with the Project Team.
Review and comment upon the monthly & weekly reports submitted by the Consultant’s and Contractors.
Raise early warnings of potential risks to project delivery; identify solutions therefor, in conjunction with the Project Team; reorganising programmed activities as necessary to mitigate any time, disruption or cost impact and to expedite the work to finish the project on time.
Review, in conjunction with the Engineer, the Contractor’s monthly progress report and application for payment and arrange for any necessary adjustments thereto.
Review the project progress against the master schedule and the Contractor’s construction programme; analyse any areas in delay (or ahead of the programme) and report to the Project Team thereon.
Work with the planning manager to review and analyse the areas of delays of the updated schedule and follow up with Site Teams of all parties to expedite the work and finish the project on time.
Monitor construction progress on site and assist the Project Team in the preparation of recovery action plans to address the delays and keep the project on the right track.
Assist the Contracts/Commercial Manager in providing comprehensive contract administration in accordance with standard Client and company operating procedures and the conditions of contract.
Assist the Contracts/Commercial Manager in the evaluation of Contractor’s and Consultants claims, particularly for extension of time and disruption claims. Carry out detailed impact analysis, including the preparation of sub-programmes, as necessary to support or refute claims and assist the Commercial Manager in formulating contractual/Engineer’s responses thereon.
Assist the Contracts/Commercial Manager in preparing interim payment certificates.
Maintain a good working relationship with the Project Team and other relevant parties.
Quality Management Responsibilities:
Leading and managing all activities related to QA/QC, including the documentation of internal functions, with particular emphasis on project management functions and BIM.
Identifying, writing/reviewing and publishing of project procedural manual/QAQC, in line with the client/project requirements.
In collaboration with the IEC senior staff; setting, reviewing, analysing and publishing Key Performance Indicators.
Reviewing and approving the Quality Management Systems of project stakeholders.
Develop Project specific Closeout procedures for project completion, handover and documentation.
