RAN Technician

To undertake erection, dismantling, fabrication, installation, repair, maintenance and servicing woks on all towers, masts while adhering to safety standards.



REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLTIES:

• Ensure the availability of working tools and equipment before starting the job.

• Ensure all antennas, feeders, connectors and mountings are in good working and inform superior of abnormalities.

• Perform erection of masts, towers, and antennas.

• Perform painting on towers, masts and other equipment.

• Carry out all Towers Lights installation and maintenance.

• To Pan with a GPS, and use compass for directing antennas and RF heads.

• To install/remove antenna mounts, antenna feeder cables, DAP and SAAP RF heads and antennas on/from towers and poles.

• Run in a 40m, 60m, 80m and 100m DC and Fiber cables from RF head to BCU.

• Install Deport Brackets and mounts on towers and poles.

• Install GPS devices on their mounts.

• Label RF heads cables and feeders.

• To perform sweep tests for feeders and antennas.

• To perform site inspection civil, telecom and power progress, also to report problems and comments to the responsible engineer.

• Follow up the installation, testing, commissioning and acceptance of WiMAX outdoor installation and microwave equipment as well.

• Site supervision of the outdoor projects activities.

• Install and maintain all towers light.

• Carry out all rigging preparation works.

• Maintain masts and towers in their optimum operating conditions through regular inspection and maintenance works.

1-Maintain work place in very clean and tidy conditions at all times.

2-Follow safety standards while performing all aspects of works.

• Follow safety standards while performing all aspects of works.

• Keep superior well informed about any problems that affect work progress and malfunction of working tools and mechanical aids.
