Our client a multinational manufacturing company - FORTUNE 500 is seeking to hire an Accounting Supervisor - FMCG - Arabic Speaking
This position reports to Manager Accounting, Tax & Treasury
The accountabilities are as follows:
• Manage the monthly closing process and ensure all accounts are reviewed for reasonableness and exceptional/unusual transactions prior to submission.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly & annual reports related to P&L Statement, Balance Sheet and other Company's reporting requirements.
• Liaise with and assist the external and internal auditors and manage the audit process.
• Supervise and ensure correct and timely processing and payment of vendor invoices and employees' expense claims in accordance with Company's Principles and Practices.
• Ensure vendor reconciliations are carried out on a periodic basis and any discrepancies resolved in a timely manner.
• For each customer ensure that appropriate secured and unsecured credit limits are set-up in line with the company's Principles and Practices.
• Ensure all remittances from the customers are recorded correctly in a timely manner and such remittances are in line with the company's Principles and Practices.
• Review debtors' age analysis on a daily basis to ensure appropriate actions are taken to avoid overdue balances. In case, overdue balance does materialize, agree on follow-up actions with the senior management.
• Review daily bank reconciliation statements and keep abreast of issues, if any, to ensure that they are resolved quickly.
• Review all general Journal vouchers posted by accountants in SAP system ensuring correct accounting, accuracy of amounts and adequacy of supporting documents.
• Ensure all Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and any discrepancies are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
• Ensure the fixed asset register is kept up to date by periodic audit of physical assets.
• Ensure relevant costs are recharged to affiliates and customers on a periodic basis and all intercompany payables and receivables are reviewed to ensure they are recorded and paid on time.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of intercompany invoices via the TRDB reporting system and attend to any discrepancies promptly.
• Review and challenge accounting processes to identify areas for improvement, from a quality, internal control and efficiency point of view and recommend changes whenever deemed appropriate.
• Supervise the daily activities of the team and assist in setting priorities when required. Coach the team in order to ensure that the professional and individual skills are adequately assessed and developed.
