On behalf of our client one of the leading Specialist Hospitals in Saudi Arabia we have an opening for a Consultant Nephrologist.
Responsible to the Chief of the Department/Deputy, Chief of Internal Medicine. You will be responsible for Residents & Specialists. You will provide specialised services to patients for the diagnosis and management of disease of the Kidneys.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Performs the professional duties of a nephrologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended by the Chief of Internal Medicine Service and approved by MOH.
• Performs duties in the nephrology clinic - evaluation of patients with kidney disease.
• Provides care to patients in the medical wards.
• Performs the usual nephrology procedures: kidney biopsies, peritoneal dialysis and Hemodialysis.
• The nephrologist is an internist with nephrologist and is expected to perform all the duties performed by an internist (refer to duties of internist).
• Provides consultation services to the in patient service in his area of expertise.
• Shares in the on-call duties of the Internal Medicine Service.
• Provides after working hours on-call emergency coverage for nephrology emergencies and Hemodialysis unit.
• Provides supervision and education to the dialysis staff nurses and technicians.
• Participates in the monthly staff meeting of the Internal Medicine Service.
• Participates and contributes to the educational activities in the Service.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the chief of Service (. Committee Membership).
• Participates and contributes to all performance Improvement activities of the service.
• Supervise the work of ward physicians, professional development physicians and internists, and provides his evaluation of their work at the request of the chief of service.
• Performs duties in general internal medicine clinics, wards as assigned by the chief of the chief of service and as workload dictates.
