Group Financial Manager - HOLDAL, Abou Adal Group

KEY RESPONSIBILTITIES:



Daily Operations

• Oversee finance daily operations and ensure they are compliant with Group Finance policies & procedures, local accounting & fiscal requirements and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

• Oversee daily transactions engaged by Group heads of operations and functions as to ensure they are fully compliant to internal policies, local regulations and international standards.

• Oversee accounting and fiscal closings and submissions when due.

• In coordination with CFO and Heads of Finance units, document Finance policies & procedures and review them periodically as to ensure they are fully compliant with local regulations, local accounting standards, fiscal requirements and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Also, ensure they are up to date and totally enforced.

• In coordination with the CFO, set yearly financial calendar showing key dates: budget preparations, budget presentations, report issuance, taxes submissions… Share financial calendar with Management and internal key stakeholders.

• Approve daily payments as per Group authority matrix.

• Continuously provide effective leadership, coaching and direction to direct reports and their teams.

• Handle performance evaluation reviews to direct reports and their teams. Share constructive candid feedbacks and raise concerns whenever appropriate. In coordination with the CFO and the HR, determine and implement individual career development plan.

• Ensure resources are at all-time optimized across the Finance Function. Raise need of resources to the CFO.

• Continuously recommend and implement innovative workflows, processes, systems and tools improving the compliance, quality and accuracy of the finance deliverables.

• Continuously strengthen and protect Finance Function positive working environment.

• Remain on top of industry-related regulatory changes, tax requirements and economic news.



Reporting

• Ensure adequate accounting setup in implemented in order to provide management with needed compliant, accurate and timely reports.

• In coordination with the CFO determine set of reports that will be regularly shared with Management.

• On monthly basis provide CFO and Management with consolidated top line reports as well as Management and fiscal P&Ls. Include all needed comments justifying key variances vs. budgets and previous periods. Raise concerns to CFO immediately.

• On monthly basis provide CFO and Management with key financial dashboards: topline, opex, receivable, inventory, taxes and cash flow. Include all needed comments justifying key variances vs. budget and previous periods. Raise concerns to CFO immediately.

• On quarterly basis (and whenever possible on monthly basis) provide CFO and Management with consolidated balance sheets. Include all needed comments justifying key variances vs. budgets and previous periods. Raise concerns to CFO immediately.

• Provide CFO and Management with ad-hoc reporting, analysis and recommendation.



Budgeting

• In the role of finance budget leader, provide effective leadership as to ensure budgets are prepared delivered and presented accurately and on time.

• In coordination with the CFO, set and communicate budget calendars and guidelines.

• Ensure budget logistics tasks are effectively handled: budget presentations are booked, budget templates and figures are communicated on time to budget owners and Management…

• At least one week before budget presentations, provide the CFO with fully commented prepared budgets justifying key variances and recommending appropriate actions and challenges.



Financial Controls

• In coordination with the CFO and Heads of Finance units, determine and document key financial controls and their related frequency.

• Implement key financial controls and ensure they are performed compliantly, accurately and on time.
