Senior Transportation Engineer - Seero Engineering Consulting

1. To perform and evaluate Qatar Strategic Transport Model (QSTM) VISUM model runs including preparation of reports in order to determine passenger demand forecasts.

2. Owns up responsibilities of updating the QSTM model data to reflect the latest QRDP infrastructure status.

3. Prepares, executes and evaluates traffic model runs using latest QSTM models approved by Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning (MMUP).

4. Prepares technical reports on model outputs, including compilation of additional data in relation to the passenger demand forecasts for Metro, LRT and Long Distance

5. Conducts sensitivity analysis on network and land use changes.

6. Liaises with MMUP to update the QSTM model

7. Plans Metro Network future extensions

8. Model projects in micro-simulation software like vissim for all types of intersections

9. Develops Feeder Bus Network to Metro Stations and Park & Ride

10. Helps Transport Systems unit in analyzing network scenario

11. Perform traffic impact studies via visum.

12. Perform traffic modeling for Prt and PuT.

13. Traffic analysis using softwares like vissim, visum, synchro, sidra, HCS, HCM and EMME, TransCAD

14. Work on AutoTurn for swept path analysis for access design, road projects, parking design and highway design project using AutoCAD and AutoCAD civil 3

15. Providing expert technical traffic and highway engineering advice and services to external clients;

16. Responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on projects including:



a. Transportation planning projects

b. Traffic demand analysis

c. Demand forecasting for public transit

d. Analyzing current traffic conditions

e. Transportation master plan studies,

f. Functional planning studies,

g. Traffic impact studies,

h. Parking studies,

i. Financial viability analyses,

j. Traffic data collection and analysis,

k. Traffic calming studies,

l. Road safety assessments,

17. Coordinate business development activities by establishing and maintaining positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

18. Review and thoroughly understand contract requirements; and

19. Monitor industry standards and developments, assessing client needs and make concrete decisions on proposed solutions.
