HR Project Manager - The British Museum

The British Museum is seeking to appoint a HR Project Manager to support Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA-Abu Dhabi) in the recruitment of staff for the Zayed National Museum (ZNM) in time for its opening by providing HR advice, guidance, expertise and support to the development and delivery of a job evaluation framework; compensation and benefits strategy and detailed recruitment plans.

This role will be based in the Abu Dhabi, UAE with travel to the UK (up to five working days per month).

Key areas of responsibility:

• Job Evaluation Framework and Compensation and Benefits strategy: Develop a project plan and scope of work to tender for third party providers who will be responsible for delivering a job evaluation framework and compensation and benefits strategy for the museum partners.

• Recruitment planning:

o Review finalised draft job descriptions and roles within the ZNM staff structure to identify positions that could be filled by UAE nationals in time for the opening of the museum.

o Develop a project plan and scope of work to generate a preferred supplier list of third party recruitment partners.

• HR Generalist:

o Provide support to the TCA-Abu Dhabi HR Manager in scheduling and monitoring the work of the third party providers

o Act as a source of expertise for TCA-Abu Dhabi and the ZNM in a range of other HR-related activity, including employee relations, learning and development and organisation development.



Person Specification:

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and possess CIPD qualifications or equivalent and a Project Management qualification. He/she will have strong knowledge of UK and International employment law and proven ability in resource planning as well as delivering organizational design and development programmes. Experience of International HR is essential as is the ability to plan, organise and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.



Full time

Fixed Term, 23 months

Salary: £37455 (plus location allowance and accommodation)
