Digby Morris' client is a leading international consultancy’s with offices in Asia, Africa and Europe. . They are currently involved in some of the largest building and infrastructure projects across Qatar and require a number of Quantity Surveyor’s for various projects based in Doha, Qatar.

Responsibilities

• The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparation of cost plans

• Tender evaluation & assessment

• Preparation of recommendations for award of contractor packages

• Preparing and presenting cash flow & cost management advice to clients

• Interpreting and offering advice on contract

• Ensuring contractual notices and client entitlements are properly administered

• Preparation of contractor’s payment recommendations

• Measuring & valuing variations

• Agreement of final accounts

• Provide advice, information and support to Project Manager & Team

• Proactively develop service excellence including the utilisation of technology to support business delivery.

• Demonstrate strong personal presence at all stages of the project including actively seeking feedback.

• Th Quantity Surveyor will represent the company in a professional and diligent manner, developing strong working relationship with clients.

• Deliver projects within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations agreed at the business case / client brief stage.

• Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment through knowledge and awareness of and adherence to the company's policy.

• Considerable interaction with staff from all relevant sections, requiring disciplined management of priorities, good communication and accurate and timely information flow.

• Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.

• Be a strong team player but demonstrate the ability to take a leadership role as part of personal development planning.

Skills/Experience

• BSc is essential

• MRICS or working towards

• Consultancy experience desired

• Middle East experience not required

• 7+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor
