Sr. Maintenance Engineer - Static - ORYX Gas To Liquids Ltd

JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure producing agreed Production volumes in a safe and sustainable manner with no incidents or harm to the environment, people or the asset, through developed and motivated staff.



Execution of mechanical maintenance activities and assigned projects on time and within budget with overall operational cost control.



ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Safety, Health, Quality,Environment

 Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area to guarantee employee safety, HR compliance, delivery of high quality products / services and a responsible environmental manner.



Maintenance Strategy

• As a senior member of the Maintenance Department, contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Maintenance strategy and plans to maximise the plant equipment availability and minimise equipment breakdown.

Section Management

• Support Maintenance Supervisors in their the day-to-day activities by providing Engineering solutions and to ensure that work processes are implemented as per standards and procedures.

Shutdowns and Turnarounds

• Assist in managing the planning, organisation and implementation of ORYX GTL’s shutdowns, turnarounds and emergencies as required.

• To take the role as a “Project / Zone Leader” during major / emergency shutdowns as required.



Plant Maintenance

 Assist in managing the troubleshooting of problems as required in order to avoid major escalations at any given instance.

 Assist in managing the Mechanical maintenance works on ORYX GTL’s assets as required to ensure minimum disruptions with regard to machine / Mechanical breakdowns.

• Ensure all Statutory inspections on Safety devices and Pressurised equipments are done in line with the Maintenance Strategies.
