Main Purpose
* This individual will be responsible for leading the procurement strategy and execution for >$20MM Freight Forwarding Spend for company owned operations in the Asia, Middle East & Africa (AMEA) sector with the target of delivering best total value to the business.
Accountabilities
* Lead AMEA agenda and represent the sector for the global strategic sourcing initiatives of Ocean & Air freight & Courier services categories to deliver best total value with full alignment and support of key stakeholders.
* In conjunction with the sector category lead, lead the identification and implementation of productivity projects worth a minimum of 4% year on year cost savings in year 1.
* Lead the implementation of the Control Tower program in AMEA, ensuring stakeholder engagement and adoption of the program, conforming to rollout timing.
* In conjunction with the global program lead and the sector category lead, lead the development and negotiation of best in class service level agreements and contracts.
* Lead the implementation and alignment of best-in-class performance measurement and reporting strategies.
* Stay constantly abreast of the industry trends and lead the analysis of supplier capabilities to bring supplier driven productivity and innovation.
* In conjunction with the sector category lead, build a supplier relationship management strategy and develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers at sector and local market level.
* Act as the steward of the category and ensure full adherence to company and function policies and principles.
* Develop and manage the financial plans and forecasts for the categories to ensure proper financial management of savings, expenses and synchronization with sector and global reporting.
* 20%+ travel - International.
PepsiCo will provide candidates with a PepsiCo sponsored residence visa for self only in Dubai if needed.
Key Skills/Experience Required
* Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, Finance or related field required.
* 5 to 7 years' experience in Indirect Spend sourcing with Transport and Logistics experience an advantage
* Excellent English required
* Knowledge of 3rd party outsourcing of Supply Chain logistics
* In-depth understanding of supply chain mechanics, forecasting and costing
* Expertise in financial analysis and cost modeling
* Excellent negotiation, organizational, and influencing skills
