Investor Relations Associate/Analyst - Saudi Electricity Company

The Role

Saudi Electricity Company has identified a significant opportunity and scope for the Company to enhance both its profile and understanding amongst domestic, regional and international analysts and investors through adopting a more pro-active and dynamic approach to its communications with the capital markets. An opportunity has emerged for an IR Analyst to be recruited. This newly created position will be instrumental in proving support to the Head of IR in terms of developing and maintaining the Company’s investor relations programme.

Specific objectives

• To support the creation of a world class investor relations capability, working according to a defined strategy and calendar

• To educate international financial audiences about the Company, including the strength of its corporate strategy and management

• To create the basis for sustained enhancement of the Company’s investor (and other stakeholders’) relationships, through a programme of regular communication to maintain and strengthen the Company’s profile

• To establish the Company as a leader in investor relations amongst companies from KSA and the wider region

• To undertake all communications in line with international best practice and relevant market regulation

• To co-ordinate internal processes to ensure effective communications with external audiences

Key responsibilities



• Monitoring and tracking of industry trends, analyst models and notes

• Collation of analysts’ forecasts and preparation of consensus

• Acting as a secondary point of contact for sell-side analysts and investors (debt and equity)

Building strong relationships across the Company and sourcing information for Company presentation materials etc.

• Managing the financial calendar of events

• Assisting with the preparation of Powerpoint presentations in particular for the results announcements and annual report

• Managing all logistics surrounding the trading updates and results announcements including event managing the analyst presentations

• Managing all logistics surrounding roadshows

• Maintaining the IR section of the corporate website

• Development and maintenance of the contact and distribution databases, including records of analyst and investor meetings

• Liaison with external service providers, such as bond- and shareholder identification agencies.
