About Your Job:
Due to expediential growth of Qatar Airways, we have a new position available within our Corporate Planning Department. Reporting to the Vice President Aeropolitical Affairs, the Manager Regulatory Affairs position will be based at head office in Doha, Qatar.
In this role you will proactively and reactively manage all the legislative and regulatory threats and opportunities to protect the interests of Qatar Airways, as well as obtaining operating permits and foreign AOCs for the new routes of the airline.
You will support the implementation of these regulations and procedures and support Aeropolitical Affairs in developing aeropolitical strategies.
About You:
To be successful in this role you must have a minimum of 7 years' experience working in a similar role, with a Master's Degree qualification. You must have extensive technical and practical industry knowledge and experience in national, regional and international aviation regulations and treaties.
Comprehensive knowledge of international business and major global economic powers is critical to your success, as is knowledge of analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Having a background in law will be advantageous, with statistical skills.
You must have managerial skills with the ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. It is important that you have strong mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. It is essential that you have excellent English language skills in writing and speaking. Being fluent to communicate in a business environment with a second language is desirable.
