Research Development and Projects Manager - Fikra

- Engaging the research community regarding research in Qatar and the region

- Meeting research institutions and professors to build relationships and discuss research ideas and proposals

- Meeting with the private and public sector in Qatar to discuss research ideas of relevance to them and their possible involvement

- Managing the submission of new proposals including proposal drafting, proposal quality review and budget development to the Qatar National Research Fund (Mainly) and other funding agencies

- Member of the Project Management Office Committee that oversees the overall management of the existing grants including deliverables, budgets and timeline

- Managing the budget of the awarded grants in terms of providing various approvals, insuring projects are within budget, managing budget variations and others

- Managing the relationship with the Qatar National Research Fund (main funding agency of FIKRA) and other agencies

- Ensure full compliance of the proposals and grants with the funding agencies policies and requirements

- Managing the research support requirements including contracts with institutions and researchers, ethical approvals, administration and logistics
