Executive Housekeeper - Somewhere Hotel Apartment

Schedules employees in accordance with forecasted occupancy, adjusting staffing levels when necessary to meet variances

Co-ordinate availability of rooms with Front Office Manager

Conducts daily briefings/shift handovers to advise all staff on the daily activities

Supervises the daily activities of the housekeeping and laundry staff

Monitor customer satisfaction, identifying shortfalls and formulating possible solutions

Together with Floor Supervisors, conduct daily and random inspections of hotel property and housekeeping areas, taking the necessary corrective action where applicable

Informs Front Office about accurate room status

Ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment within the housekeeping areas are maintained in the cleanest possible condition, and ensure that repair and maintenance is executed when needed

Highlight any repair requirements to the attention of the Engineering Department as and when required, whilst ensuring completion to a quality standard

Oversees inventory, purchasing, disbursement and cost control for all linen, uniforms, cleaning materials, and supplies for cleaning guest rooms, wash rooms, laundry and housekeeping related machinery and equipment

Schedule and supervise all rotational and special cleaning programmes, coordinating with Engineering as and when required

Responsible for overseeing the Lost and Found function

Orders and keeps track of uniforms for all employees

Checks the arrival and VIP list daily and ensures appropriate standards are applied

Analyze own budget, taking corrective action and follow-up where necessary

Assists in the development of the hotel's annual business plan, by providing input regarding housekeeping
