Professional Development Division Manager - Reach Group

Collaborate in the development of formally recognized standards and requirements for school staff (management staff and teachers), and the communication of these standards within schools, to improve the quality of teaching in all phases of Education in the Emirate;

Drive the change in culture and attitudes required to meet these high standards by implementing strategies for the reform and improvement of school staff development including special programs (both for management and teaching staff);

Oversee the development of professional development plans and career paths for education staff holding management positions and teaching staff (English and Arabic medium) in accordance with Professional Development requirements, and ensure integration of professional development into the teaching profession;

Oversee the coordination with the Administration in developing the above plans, ensure that the plans are based on input from the staff assessments and aligned to the career/ professional objectives of the school staff;

Establish relationships with training vendors and oversee the process of vendor selection for the delivery of professional development programs for the school staff;

Lead the coordination, planning and delivery of professional development programs by outsourced vendors and ensure that the programs focus on specific areas such as and not limited to leadership, management and pedagogy for English and Arabic medium subjects;

Manage the monitoring of various professional development programs and ensure improvement of quality of the programs by analyzing the feedback;

Lead the development of a performance management system for school staff including defining appraisal criteria, mechanism and frequency etc.;

In coordination with the School Administration Division, manage and review the performance management system for school staff;

Set and contribute to the strategy for the re-qualification of existing teachers and principals in the Emirate whilst maintaining resource requirements in schools
