Region Sales Manager - Elkhayyat Red Bricks Manufacturing Khulais

Purpose of the Job



• To plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate all activities and resources necessary for sales within the delegated region to achieve the targets and objectives of the business plan.

• Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.



Principal Responsibilities/Accountabilities



Strategic

• Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

• Implements specific performance standards in key areas such as regional sales targets, and evaluates performance against these standards.

• Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements.

• Sets regional sales targets and defines the strategy to achieve these targets and to follow the set strategy in a timely manner.

Operational

• Manages regional sales activities by maintaining and expanding customer base, and managing staff.

• Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers, and identifying new customer opportunities.

• Surveys the targeted market and customer segments to develop a database of customer-related information.

• Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of the objectives.

• Monitors expenditures and takes corrective and preventative actions to remain within the approved budget.

• Reviews the distribution routes to achieve maximum levels of efficiency while maintaining customer satisfaction.

• Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

• Conduct pertinent research to develop sales in tune with the current market scenario.

• Maintains rapport with key accounts through periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities in addition to measuring customer satisfaction and resolving any identified issues.

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

Reporting

• Follows procedures of reporting on performance, budgets and other reports required periodically and ad-hoc by other functions in the company.

Staff Management

• Evaluates the performance of direct reports in coordination with the HR Department and indentifies their training needs.

• Research employees training and development requirements and prepare a program within a prudent budget to achieve objectives.

• Ensure that overheads, costs and expenses are minimized by carefully controlling and utilizing all resources effectively.

• Assigns resources to the different regions within the country in a cost-effective manner.

• Delegates authorities and responsibilities to direct reports in the event of absence to sustain operations effectively and efficiently.
