The Alshaya eGroup is a diverse organisation supporting corporate, warehouse and retail specific IT infrastructure and systems. The Role:
The Business Solutions Manager will use analytical and quantitative methods to analyse supply chain operations and performance, help develop strategic solution maps and lead development of practical solutions to address supply chain challenges in a plan-source-deliver-service business cycle. You will also grow to become a subject matter authority on supply chain process and technologies pertaining to retail and should already possess knowledge of one or more retail focused domains such as fashion, footwear, food, furnishings, etc. You should also have operations or consulting work experience in a large retail operation leading the delivery of solutions.
Responsibilities will include:
- Defining/implementing processes and systems to enable best in class supply chain practices within or across the various Alshaya divisions- Defining/implementing tactical to innovative solutions to enable efficiency and productivity within business operations- Integrating people, process, policy, and technology related to various supply chain processes such as demand planning, supply planning, forecasting, integrated business planning, supply chain visibility, shipping trade management, merchandise planning, price optimisation, supply chain finance, warehouse management, etc.- Leading/participating in process improvement discussions with business groups- Helping with data migration, data cleanup and other required data modeling efforts within various applications- Developing test scenarios, cases and scripts to be used in UAT to test product features, solution and base architecture- Working closely with Finance, Business Operations, eGroup and vendor teams to deliver projects on time- Participating in strategic projects such as corporate innovation, six sigma, etc- Contributing as a thought leader in retail supply chain process and systems- Functioning as a key member of Supply Chain leadership team- Building relations and working closely with other teams within eGroup and the business- Continuously improving the quality of eGroup delivery capabilities- Mentoring and helping to develop the Supply Chain team
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a Masters in engineering or business and a certification in APICS, SCOR or CSCP (desirable).
In addition, you will have:
- A retail specific certification in fashion or food businesses- 3-5 years' of experience in designing/developing/ implementing/using one or more of the following: Oracle Value Chain Planning suite of applications - specifically Demantra, Advanced Supply Chain Planning, with at least one full cycle implementation experience OR Shipping Process Automation systems such as Oracle, SAP, GT Nexus etc (focus on shipping & freight) OR Warehouse Management Systems such as Manhattan, Oracle, SAP, etc.- Experience in managing a team- Had exposure to supply chain metrics and standard reference models such as SCOR (v 10.0 or later)- Demonstrated the ability to work with cross functional teams- Detail orientation and ability to align with big picture.
