System Specialist - Baker Hughes









EMPLOYMENT STATUS



Full Time Regular





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES



Under general supervision, responds to and diagnoses moderately complex hardware, software, and network problems varying in difficulty through discussions with end-users or through hands-on support for PCs, servers, mainframe applications, and hardware.

May be assisted by electronic help desk tools and problem management systems.

Interacts with functional teams in order to restore services and correct core problems.

Responds to, diagnoses, configures and deploys hardware in accordance with agreed upon SLAs.

Simulates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.

Recommends system modifications to reduce user problems.

Acts as a liaison to the Customer Services Team.

Handles special projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS



Bachelor's Degree in business, an IT related field or equivalent.

3+ years of industry experience.

A+ Certification in Basic Network Techniques.

OTHER DETAILS



Knowledge of network communications and electronic mail administration.
