Senior Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking - Abu Dhabi - First Gulf Bank

Job Profile



To build and grow the portfolio of assigned clients, by identifying selling and cross-selling opportunities through the daily analysis and interactions made with clients in order help achieve the sub-department's sales targets, while ensuring high standard of client service and portfolio credit quality..







Key Responsibilities



Internal Collaboration



*Develop a close working relationship with all departments/ sub-departments including Product partners (Debt Markets, Global Transaction Services, Islamic Banking, Corporate Finance, and Treasury & Global Markets) and Credit in order to contribute to cross selling opportunities.



Client and Market Analysis



*Conduct analysis on clients' financial health and needs as well as their industries/ markets on regular basis in order to identify lending, selling, and cross-selling opportunities and improve FGB's profitability.



Client Relationship Management



*Participate in the identification of new clients and ensure the proper articulating of the value-add the services/ products and relationship with FGB would offer them in order to attract new clients and increase the size of the sub-department's portfolio and market share.



*Manage the daily interactions with clients and provide superior client service to improve clients' experiences, grow assets and liabilities, and maximise FGB's profitability.



*Identify early warning signals and take remedial action to mitigate any credit risk in the portfolio. Ensure that any temporary overdraft or excess over limit are regularised within a reasonable time.. Ensure that the Bank is in possession of all required facility documents duly executed by the client.



Business Development



*Cross sell various products of FGB's portfolio such as corporate finance, project and structured finance, transaction services, debt markets, treasury and Islamic banking products to existing client accounts, based on the requirements of the client, in order to contribute to the increase in product penetration and wallet share of the existing clients.



Service Provision and Credit Requests



*Assist in coordinating service provisions with other sub-departments/ departments in order to ensure efficient turnaround of transactions and that clients' enquiries and documentation needs are met in a timely manner.



*Conduct credit assessments/ appraisals and coordinate the processing of approved credit requests for new clients to ensure a quality and timely credit utilisation process. Continuous Improvement *Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices while taking into account leading finance practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.



Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures



* Follow all relevant sub-departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. MIS and Reports



* Prepare statements and reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet the department's and FGB's requirements, policies, and standards.



Knowledge & Experience



Minimum Qualifications:



*Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or any related discipline



Minimum Experience:



*8 -10 years of experience in corporate banking







Skills



*Knowledge of the banking sector, and FGB's products and business strategies



*Interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills



*Ability to work under pressure and adjust quickly to changing priorities



*Computer proficiency



*Banking software systems proficiency



*Data analysis and financial modelling skills



*Credit analysis and FOREX skills



*Strong relationship building skills
