Description and Desired Qualifications



CH2M HILL Civil Site Engineer (Water Treatment Plant) - Dammam, Saudi Arabia



Project Scope


CH2M Hill are providing design review and construction supervision services for the build of 4 water wells, 15MLD RO treatment plant for drinking water with Evaporation ponds at Dammam 2 Industrial City in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This project is expected to run for a period of 18 months plus, and will involve working 6 day weeks (Saturday to Thursday).



Job Purpose



The role is for a Civil Site Engineer and will oversee Civil and siteworks supervision.



Job responsibilities





Monitoring and inspection of construction work in accordance with quality requirements



Monitoring and inspection of construction Civil work in accordance with quality requirements.



Experience in reviewing shop drawings and vendors' submittals.



Assist in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports



Daily field supervision on actual execution of works according to drawings and specifications.



Carry out scheduled inspections to ensure that works are constructed in accordance with the contract documentation and method statements



Liaison with the contractor on all construction related matters



Maintain photo and written diaries to record daily works

Basic Qualifications



Job requirements





Bachelor of civil engineering from recognized university



Experience of no less than (8 years) in the field of supervision of the execution of structural works of the desalination plants, wells, tanks and related civil works.



At least the last 5 years of experience shall be in execution of similar projects.



Experience in the use of computer applications (reports, follow up, timelines, presentations…etc.)



English



Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.



Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.



Be enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.



Be able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives.
