• Work in close cooperation with the Digital Design and Customer Services teams regarding production schedules, customer requirements and the timely supply of artwork and information to facilitate production
• Ensure that appropriate checks and measures are made on all job order instructions and artwork supplied to facilitate efficient and effective production
• Organize and operate a planned approach to production so that capacity can best meet demand at the appropriate quality, service and productivity levels
• Develop and maintain a professional, flexible and focused team to support operational growth
• Manage the implementation of ‘best working practices’ to yield the most cost-efficient, quality-effective manufacturing processes and constantly monitor to improve performance
• Interact with customers, partners and suppliers to ensure operational requirements are fully and proactively supported
• Ensure that all paper work, supporting documents and logistics are properly managed and handed over to the DPH Administrative coordinator in timely manner
• Target excellence through continuous improvement tracked and measured monthly basis, ensuring actions are rigorously implemented throughout the department
• Create accurate and regular management reports detailing performance and relevant information on print, finishing and dispatch activities
• Deploy a scheduled cleaning and preventative maintenance program to ensure that Digital Presses and other equipment are fully-operational at all times
• Ensure job materials and machine consumables are adequately stocked and managed at all times while minimizing waste and guaranteeing the best use of resources
• Ensure the production environment is kept cleanand organized and hygienic manner and that all relevant Health, Safety and environmental regulations are met
• Implement and oversee environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation and waste management
• Remain in-step with current and emerging technologies, trends and processes making reports and recommendations in relation to plant and equipment required to advance the DPH operation
• Ensure all team members understand DPH goals and values to maintain a working environment where respect, enthusiasm and commitment are recognized and rewarded
• Ad hoc duties as assigned.
