My client is a leading business within the Oil and Gas sector. They currently have an urgent requirement for a User Support Geoscientist to join their team.
You will provide guidance and assistance on the use of geoscience technology, promoting effective and efficient work flows using the appropriate technology and facilitating the delivery of technology to the geoscience community.
Your role will be to work closely with the geoscience community as a liaison between geoscientists and the broader IT organization; you will also have interaction with software vendors.
You will have:
- Degree in Geoscience
- 3-5 years business workflow experience
- Indepth understanding of geoscience applications, work flows, data, and technology
- Understanding of the petroleum industry
- Understanding of Windows and Linux environments
- Ability to utilize and develop macro's, scripts, and application work flow editors to automate and optimize geoscience workflows
