Position: Technical Interface & Progress ManagerLocation: Saudi ArabiaSalary: USD 7000 - 11000 dependent upon experienceOur Client, a well-known European consultancy is looking for a Technical Interface & Progress Manager for one of the most prestigious metro projects in the Middle East. With experience in thrid rail electrification and a background in track design, the Technical Interface & Progress Manager will manage the interface process and offer technical support during project phases. Objectives:
- Identify the interfaces with the track work and manage the interface register- Analyze the interface management plan and establish Interface Control Documents- Coordinate with transverse engineering disciplines (calculations, reports, etc.).- Supervise part of the design of track partners, particularly the design of third rail at switch and crossing.- Participate in the resolution of blocking points at design stage- Ensure that the design is compatible with the highest standards of health and safety;- Ensure optimal design of interfaces within other parties;- Ensure efficient coordination with other parties- Manage local engineer and CAD operators.
Responsibilities:
- Manage/follow up the Interface Control Documents (Interface documents, reports, drawings, proposals, etc.)- Manage the interface process;- Interface with civil works' designers (autocad drawings checking, interface meetings)- Interface with company departments (autocad drawings checking, interface meetings)- Control interface process and work progress on site during installation phase- Supervise any sub-contracted design activity;- Ensure compliance with standards, technical specifications and procedures including quality procedures;- Contribute in the deployment of trackwork technical organization and resources;- Prepare submittals to client and 3rd parties;- Prepare and follow up all letters (incoming/outgoing) related to track design activities;- Coordinate with other parties (other subsystem activities/civil work partners ) for the technical aspects of the track interfaces and especially
with the civil works;- Check sub-contractors and in-house track designs and ensure technical compliance;- Ensure application of agreed quality control procedures;- Report directly and regularly to the Track Design Manager on the progress and status of interface activity and report deviations from targets, schedules, quality, delays, etc.
Desired Knowledge/Experience:
- Knowledge of civil and mechanical works;- 8 year experience in railway projects;- 4 years minimum track work design experience in metro project;- Project and/or construction experience preferred;- Knowledge of Middle-East (preferably Saudi Arabia) working environment is appreciated.- Microsoft Project and Primavera knowledge is madatory.
Educational Requirements:
Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree.
